SOLVED: VV 8-4 Lid Issue

Post by pellicano1 »

Well I searched the net and our group but did not have any luck finding my issue. I have a VV 8-4 with a lid that will not stay open. These are the spring lid supports. And help would be appreciated. I already tightened all the screws.

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

The lid on my 8-4 has this issue too. Sometimes I can get the lid to stay open after a few tries.

Great !!! Glad it helped. I used that service bulletin to adjust the closure on my VV 8-4 and VV 4-3.

Take care,
Terry

Gents, I’m glad you found the Victor service instructions useful! Victor published many such pamphlets to aid the dealer.

Here is my original posting, the images are a bit clearer.

Thanks Mark !!
I knew my screen captures came from the TMF due to the heading on one of my screen captures.
Wasn’t trying to take credit for your parade, just had them on my iPad for easy access without having to do an archive search on the TMF.

Thanks for the helpful info.
