Well I know how much to use, just wasnt sure about the decal situation. I'm doing either 2 or 3 coats of amber shellac and 3 or 4 of clear.NEFaurora wrote:Yes, You should Shellac over the Edison Decal...enough to bury the lip of the decal so that it and the shellac are on the same level...Usually One or Two coats of Shellac will do... I think Edison mostly used Amber Shellac... but like I said, I would do some tests on some scrap wood and then make a judgement call..
