Edison Opera Spring Barrel Assembly

Post by fourbaers »

Hello. Does anyone have a diagram like the one below (which I shamelessly downloaded from another post) only for the BOTTOM assembly showing the spring barrel assembly? My question is based on replacing one of my springs and finding that the first barrel had a thin disc under the cover with a felt washer separating it from the cover and the second barrel does not. Not sure exactly what purpose these serve but it's odd that one side has it and the other does not. Perhaps it was chucked after a previous rebuild.
Appreciate any help you might offer. If it matters my machine is the later "Concert" variant.

Thanks,

Here you go, Terry. Hope this helps. It has a description of the barrel cover, but nothing about a spacer.
