If you paid $1200 for your 8-9 wouldn't it have come complete with the knobs? concerning the paint color on the exterior of the cabinet, I have seen attempts to repaints the blue-green with a flat paint that looks terrible. I have even seen a machine where the stripes were painting a flat sap green. It just gives the machine an off. Better to leave it alone, or if you know oil painting technique, to paint it with the original type dark glaze with a copal medium. You would have to get the exact color to do this accurately of course.
