any members have information on this company?? Did they actually make phonographs? Not much out there on them but their stock certificate is very early 1890..

Old Dominion was one of the original sub-companies of the North American Phonograph Company. As such, it was a leasing (sales after 1891) agent for the Edison Phonograph and American Graphophone. They may have offered locally-recorded cylinders; I don't recall offhand.

In the WE ALSO HAVE OUR OWN RECORDS series in CLPGS magazine, isn't there a section devoted to British Dominion records?
John AB Wright had also a website for British record labels, or my memory is not right?

Not to place too fine a point on this, and I don't want to embarrass anyone, but his name is George. First name George; last name Paul. Sorry, but I see this way more frequently than I think is acceptable, especially considering how much, and for how long he's contributed to the Antique Phonograph world. George is too nice, and too humble to say anything on his behalf.

Well, thanks Fran - - I appreciate that but it's really no big thing. It does happen surprisingly often, but I suppose that's the curse of having two first names. Just ask John Wayne, Elton John, Keith Richard, Cher...
