What happens to deleted You Tube Videos?

Anyone know what happens when you delete a video on You Tube? I know a lot of people have liked some and since I am doing so many over with better sound I would like to remove the older ones, but if I do what happens if someone has made it a favorite or what ever they do to keep one to watch later? Does it just produce a blank screen for the older version if they try to link to it?

YouTube will produce a message along the lines of "This video is no longer available"

Yes I was afraid of that. I have run into a few my self. I guess there is no way to just eliminate them without a blank screen. A few of the viewers like hearing the earlier versions and then the improved, and I hope final versions.. I just didn't want people to think that the previous one was just like the in person experience, it wasn't, but the later ones are very close to what I hear in the room.
