Heck yeah I am. Love the early country stuff and I can’t wait to see Ken Burns new documentary on it next month. Usually that type of music goes as much as rural blues online. So I enjoy it the rare times I find them in the wild. I’ve found more blues 78s than hillbilly out in the wild though.

I like it and I like that "Big Ball In Memphis" song.

I only have three albums full of discs, and one is full of Jimmie Rogers. So, I need to diversify more! :coffee:

Here are a few other musician's songs, in the other albums, that I enjoy...

Naymour & Smith

John Carson

J.E. Mainer

Carter Family

I have 0 Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, or Fiddlin John Carson records. You’d think me being from a semi rural area in Nebraska I’d trip over these records but that’s not the case. Found a few Gid Tanner and Riley Puckett ones though.

The Naymour & Smith was found in the wild. It's a bit rough, but I am happy to have it!

Here's one more I have, by Leon McAuliffe

What ever decade, it's all good ... if you like it! ;)

James.

PS: I know this is Country Swing and not Hillbilly. These three albums are lumped as Country.

Here's a ~15 minute set I made a few months ago from mostly Champion discs I had found. They're all fun and upbeat. If you enjoy fun & upbeat music of the 1920's then check out my other videos as well 8-)
