I'm familiar with the Esther Walker version of this song on Victor.The Julia Gerity is nice also.edisonplayer

Very nice singer. I love those contralto voices (Mamie Smith, Marion Harris, Esther Walker and the like).
I also love the Oh by Jingo version by Margaret Young, the only one I have on 78.
BTW, do you like the 1950s versions of old songs played by giant Chet Atkins? I don't know if they were issued on late RCA 78s, but my father had an RCA LP bought in 1958 with great versions of these songs: Jingo, Arkansas traveler, and the like.

You know I don't know I've ever heard his music despite hearing of him. I'll have to youtube. As so many collectors and such focus on men I try to gear my collection to female musicians. But of course there's a lot of good stuff out there. God bless the George Blood 78 archive!
