This is a Columbia Client machine made from about 1915-1920. This had a large case of Mahogany stained boxwood. This was to give the machine a substantial look to it.The motor is a puny one spring motor. This was a low cost machine that was sold from mail order houses, or a premium. Columbia made an Oak machine like this, but with an outside horn.

Harvey,
Is there a link for information on this model? I googled it and came up with nothing. Even though it was a low dollar Columbia it's in fantastic condition and plays exceptionally well.

I got my information from the first Talking Machine Compendium. Maybe George P. can chime in showing the pages and pictures. It's a machine worth getting. Usually, these are in deplorable condition. But then again, I always have a soft spot for Columbia and Client machines.

Thank you for the information on this machine. Given it's condition I'm happy with the $70 price I paid. I will post some better pictures when I get it wiped down. No cleaning really needed.
