SOLD: Edison Tone Test scrap book- $320

Here is a great piece. These were put out circa 1920 to Edison dealers and were used to promote tone test demonstrations. These books feature original period photographs, 38 individual photos, of Edison artists posing with diamond Disc machines and different venues mentioned in articles throughout. The articles show dates from 1915 to 1919 and mention a lot about tone tests and Edidon concerts. There are multiple copies of news paper clippings, not original newspaper clippings but period copies, featuring stories related to the featured artists and venues. Staining and other signs of age are apparent. Most of all of these have a very weathered and damaged cover and binding, it has to be what ever material they used didn't hold up. There are tears on a few pages and wrinkling. Check put pics close on condition. Very interesting how it is done in a scrapbook style. Measures approx 18" X 12.5".
