My rule is this: If your machines might fall on you and crush you in your sleep, then it's time to move the bed outside.

The gramophone bug... once it has bitten you, it's forever...!
I have only a modest collection of 12 machines (, 7 portables, 3 tabletops and two uprights), plus other two old electric record players. If love to have more, for still in my wish list there are at least four more machines: an upright HMV like your Victrola, an external horn HMV monarch or alike, an EMG, and a portable Columbia 112 or 202. Still there are two or three I'd like to get rid of, although one of them was my very first gramophone, a suitcase Diana made from imported Thorens parts...
