Columbia Cabinet Pegs

Post by Shawn »

I was recently asked about a source for pegs in a Columbia No. 1 and No. 2 cabinet. I had never found a ready source who had an exact match to the original pegs, so I previously contracted with carpenters to have them turned on a lathe for cabinets that I owned.

For those of you who have cabinets without pegs and want to do the same, here is some relevant information.

If anyone has a woodworker friend who would want to turn out a bunch of these, I suspect he/she would have a few customers if the prices were reasonable. I have a friend who is now 94 who could do it, but we had a hard time finding wood stock that made it cost effective.
