Advice on Columbia AO

Post by RolandVV-360 »

I'm planning on tomorrow to head down to an antique store in my area to purchase a Columbia AO. As someone who is unfamiliar with Columbia cylinder machines, I would ask your advice on this topic. What should I inspect/look for before buying it? What price range should I know before attempting to make an offer? Below is the best picture of the machine from their recent craigslist post on new arrivals.

According to the owner, he answered the craigslist ad and was set to come down Monday, but he no-showed. I haven’t spoken with him in some time, but I hope he’s alright.

I was wrapped up in purchasing a new home and by the time I got free I was not in the mood for a 5 hour round trip down and back :( :( Squared it with the antique shop owner.... Bill K
