I am trying to collect all the catalogued colours of the HMV102, and needless to say the uncommon Grey and Brown versions have eluded me. These colours did not sell well and were discontinued in the mid 1930's, hence their comparative rarity today.
This week I saw a Brown 102 on eBay. It had only just been listed as a "Buy it Now or Make Offer", so I offered 90% of the £199 asking price which was immediately accepted. It arrived today and is every bit as good as described. The record tray was missing (they often are) but I have spares. The felt is not a perfect match, but I will probably live with it rather than recover it with new material.
That just leaves Grey to find......

Yes I agree, it looks great in brown. Any chance you could show photos of all the colour varients you have as I think it would be amazing to see the whole line up (excluding grey for now!)
I am interested in all forms of audio media including: gramophones, phonographs, wire recorders, the tefifon, reel to reel tapes, radiograms and radios.

Well done, Roger! It's a great feeling when you finally get something you've wanted for ages. So, you've got the brown one, and want the grey, I've got the grey one and want the brown.
