CLASS M Edison Phonograph
NORTH AMERICAN PHONOGRAPH CO.
$10,500
Here is something you don't see everyday. An as found Class M. No reproducer and clips are gone, but repro clips can be found. Case not an original Class M case but looks period interestingly. The originality is so interesting to me. Looks like someone tried to test it at one time. Cool find and a rare piece. I've been informed this one dates from the early to mid 1890s. I've seen the later ones, but not an earlier one for a while. Mandrel and carriage is correct that was sometimes replaced. The speaking tube and listening tube pieces pictured come with it. So a bonus. The tags on it with the North American Phonograph Co/ New York designations are wonderful. The tag on the back about not registered for sale in NJ is really cool. For sale in unrestored condition.
