Is that for a Standard or Home or would it work with both?

I believe they're identical cranes. At least, Edison catalogs didn't differentiate them.Valecnik wrote:Is that for a Standard or Home or would it work with both?

Thanks George. Yes, the cranes are the same. It will work on the Standard, Home, and Triumph. I'm unsure if this crane would work on a Fireside due to the top+heavy set up, which I think is why Edison offered the second crane foot option.

This is a terrific value when you consider the cost of a reproduction. Jerry B.

No, these cranes won't work on a Fireside or Gem.phonohound wrote: I'm unsure if this crane would work on a Fireside due to the top+heavy set up, which I think is why Edison offered the second crane foot option.

I would not think it could work on a Triumph either, but I've never tried it. The Triumph crane foot as I recall is stamped with a "T" on the underside.

Re: FOR SALE: ORIGINAL EDISON PHONOGRAPH CRANE
Hopefully someone else can as my front mount Triumph with original crane is ~5,000 miles from here. I cannot remember now if it's the foot that's stamped or the clip that supports the crane, or both. I'm assuming the "T" stands for Triumph. Either that or I have TAE's personal Trumph that he stamped with a "T" for "Tom". I guess that's probably less likely.phonogfp wrote:I never knew that! This pic shows what looks to be the same crane. I don't know what would be different about it.
