SOLD: Winston Churchill 1940 Broadcasts On HMV Set $75

Post by gramophone-georg »

Here's a super clean 78 RPM set of Winston Churchill's famous radio broadcasts from 19. May- 11. Sept. 1940, on 7 12" HMV records in a generic album. A few labels have stickers indicating that these were pressed by HMV for RCA. I'm assuming these must be wartime pressings as the labels still refer to Churchill as PM in the blurb stating how proceeds from the sales will be used.

From a university library collection, aside from university notations, these are in pristine New Minus condition, a few minor sleeve scuffs and an occasional fingerprint being the only signs of use.

Speeches are as follows:
In A Solemn Hour, parts 1-2
This Was Their Finest Hour, parts 1-6
The War Of The Unknown Warriors, parts 1-4
Every Man To His Post, parts 1-2

$75 OBO
