Victor Cigars?

Post by Zeppy »

I saw these on ebay and thought they were interesting (sorry to highlight them is someone is bidding on them).

I also thought this question was bizarre:

Q: also if i bid and win more than one will you combine the postage to the $5.50 for all -- as they do not weigh anything and all can be shipped for the same price - thanks dave Feb-06-09
A: I will combine shipping and send for $5.50. Having trouble changing the postage rate in my ad. Thanks!

You're spending at couple hundred dollars on a pair of cigar labels, and you're concerned about $5 shipping? Seems odd to me. Sure ask if you've won, but it just struck me as not something I wouldn't waste my time with quibbling over (wouldn't effect my decision to bid considering how much I'm willing to spend on a small piece of paper).

Just my 2 bits.

Yeah, well . . . You know how those "pennypinchers" are . . . so much fun to be around.

Either that, or we just share the not so common trait of common sense.

But to each their own. If there weren't odd balls quibbling about things like this, what would people like us point out and scoff.

On a related note (and being a New Englander, you'll probably find amusing)....but not phonograph related:

eBay Item #260353352522

Brock Williams actual Super Bowl ring...Sold for just over $100k

And some of the dumb @ss questions:

Q: Since I'm prepared to bank wire over $250K for this, I am not prepared for surprises and need s/h details corrected - your disclaimer = "buyer to pay $10 shipping", shipping calculator = $110 USPS Express. Whats the deal with the deception?? Feb-02-09
A: If you DON'T WANT insurance, I'll ship it for $10.00. The other $100 is for insurance.

Q: Hi! I was over at your SLVB location last summer and purchased the weed whacker, so I have two questions. 1. Do I get a customer loyalty discount like GM and Ford are offering? 2. I'm over on W.Cheyenne and you don't even mention about local pick up to save the $110 shipping, what gives? Feb-02-09
A: Save the $110 shipping, but you have pay NEVADA state sales tax of $7750.00+ on a pick-up. Sounds good to me.

Again...you're willing to spend (or claim you're willing) a $100k to QUARTER MILLION DOLLARS, and you're quibbling about $100 in shipping charges you don't understand?

That and the rest of the Q&A is funny as all hell. Love how so many average shmoes feel qualified to give advice to a Vegas Pawn shop, that has obviously dealt with this kind of thing in the past.

I vaguely remember him being signed from Notre Dame for his rookie season with the Pats but he didn't play due to being injured early in the season. Don't know what happened to him after his stint with the Raiders in '04. Had some great seasons with Notre Dame though.
