George,
Congrats on your new Eagle! I too have an eagle with the Ohio Graphophone decal...it is serial number 91977. Curious how close it is to yours. I also have with it a large cone style horn with Ohio Graphophone Columbus Ohio stenciled on it in 3 places. Yours is only the third machine I am aware of with this decal. I also had an AN with this decal that I sold a while back.

I am also aware of a Washington A that has an Ohio Graphophone Toledo Ohio decal...it had a blue painted funnel horn with the matching stencil... it sold at a Stanton auction a number of years ago and I was back bidder...
Pics attached.

Gregg,

Thanks for posting pictures of your example! Unfortunately, the data plate on mine was carefully removed (and the brads carefully replaced!), so I don't know what the serial number was. I was hoping to find the serial number stenciled beneath the baseboard in the manner of the Indiana Graphophone Company of Indianapolis, but no such luck. (http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... e+#p187350)

I like your horn very much. It reminds me of the 26" brass-plated conical horn with a "Cleveland Graphophone Company" stencil we showed on page 35 of Antique Phonograph Advertising.

I'd like to learn more about the Ohio Graphophone Company, but so far have come up empty. Do you know if James Andem was involved in this firm? I think not, but at this point I'm grasping for any information.

Thanks again for posting your pictures Gregg. Very nice - -

George P.
