Douglas & Co. Cylinder box

Post by fmblizz »

Any member have information on the Douglas & Co out of New York?? Have not been able to dig up any info on Google..

I know that Leon Douglas was a big player in the phonograph industry but have not been able to cross reference his name with this NY company.

Also note that printing on the cylinder case is SPECIAL H.S. Master Record.
Might this possibly be referring to Hawthorne & Sheble??

Came across this empty cylinder box on the internet and just had to buy it LOL

I believe the H S refers to High Speed. Here is a link about him.

And note that Leon Douglass's name ends with a double "s". There's no connection.
