This small nickel horn came on a very original Edison Standard A. It's only 10 inches long, with a bell diameter of 5 ⅛". Can anyone identify it?
Thanks,
Mike
Can you identify this small horn?

That's the 10" nickeled Columbia horn supplied with the QC, early QA, AA, BXP, and possibly one or two others.
Hawthorne & Sheble made these, so they were available separately as well.

Re: Can you identify this small horn?
Thanks, George.
Also, there are these two holes drilled into the small end of my horn. Also the diameter of this end is slightly smaller than a 14" Edison horn, so that it will not fit directly onto the mouth of an Edison reproducer, or onto my Columbia Q. I was wondering about the purpose of the holes. Did the horn connect to the machine by means of a horn connector?
Thanks,
Mike

I noted those holes, but presumed that they were done later. Maybe this horn was originally used in a way I'm unaware of, on a machine I've not seen. I'd be interested in learning.
