A True Tone 2 is worth it folks. Here’s an example:

Back in March I recorded a video of my C-19 playing a record by the Premiere Quartet.

Here’s the same record, same reproducer, now with the new True Tone. The audio is less muffled and much brighter!

I had a TrueTone in my Amberola 30 for a long time bought from Larry himself--it worked wonderfully, with (in the right places) great bass sound for the 30's tiny old horn. Currently I have one of Herman's "Wondertone" plastic diaphragms in for brighter voice response but there is a lot to be said for Larry's great TrueTone! (Trust me, I am not getting rid of it--it will be worth putting in another cylinder phonograph sometime soon!)
