Picked This Up Today

Edison B 150 in Mahogany with the rare Edison DD storage albums. First time I have had a chance to get them. Have all 6 but have to do some gluing on one of them.

It was a good day for me... First, I went to Antiques in the Street, in Albany, OR, and saw a stack of $5 Diamond Disks. The one second from the top was a 10" Long Play. Woo Hoo! Then I visited a local antique shop and bought a Home D with a #10 Cygnet horn. I was a good day.

Jerry how can a guy be so lucky!! With the DD machine I bought yesterday got about 75 DD & 50 78's but I would have only bought about 5 records because to me that was about the only records worth keeping. No long plays or electrics in t he bunch.

Great find there! I'd be curious to know if the horn is staight black or woodgrained and I would assume there is still the drop down door in the back?

Sweet Edison you got there, and the folders are a major bonus. Nice!

To continue the "what I found" today stories:

Well, I bought an L-Door XVI today for $200. Its definitely seen better days but it came with
some interesting accessories: the original box for the Exhibition reproducer, a very small rectangular shaped gold plated needle tin, and a nickel adapter for playing diamond disks with its original box.
The motor runs quite well with steady speed and no thumping noticed yet. It also has some kind of
offbrander 1920's metal diaphragm reproducer on it. The exhibition repro is in need of restoration but
otherwise complete with good gold plate. Original gold needle cup is there too, amazing! The biggest hurtles are the missing veneer near the left bottom side and the back two legs are missing/broke off.
So I have some work ahead of me but I think the results will be well worth it. I have pics and will post them here tomorrow afternoon first thing. :)

SM2590 is the serial number. Does have the drop down door in the rear but the horn is black.
