It seems that we visit each other's nation almost with the same frequency! Well, never say never though...

I agree, Tucson is a nice town, very "easy", very livable. I've heard that PDQ (possibly the most terrific used records shop ever) has closed in the meawhile? How was it, when there's this great LP renaissance ongoing? Good grief, in 2004 I had to purchase an extra flight case just in order to carry back home all the records that I bought there!

It's amazing to hear about PDQ from a collector that's half a world away! Yes, PDQ came to and end. I brought the guys doughnuts this past Saturday. It was an amazing place and I miss Jack, the stores owner. He passed earlier this year at 94. He showed-up for work every day! They told me that many years ago Robert Crumb spent a day thumbing their then huge collection of 78s. Over the years, I picked-up many fine 78s from them.

I'm sorry that Jack died... But he had a long life, hopingly rich of success. Reading the news, it doesn't seem that the shop was forced to close due to lack of customers; do you think that there is any possibility that they will re-open elsewhere in town?

Don't talk to me about their 78s... I didn't even open the door leading to their 78 records area, as it would have been impossible to carry anything that heavy back home by plane. But I remember they had any kind of media, like racks and racks of Stereo8 tapes just to mention one. What an amazing shop it was!
