WANTED: HELP Finding Columbia Record Cabinet Hinges

Post by Phonomark »

I am in need of some help and advice.

I need two cabinet hinges for a Columbia base cabinet. The cabinet is a serpentine base match to a Columbia BY disk machine.

One hinge is missing and the other in the following photos is damaged. Not sure how to describe the hinge mechanism....spline?....serpentine? The hinges are mortised into the cabinet side and door.

Looking to acquire at least one, but preferably two replacement hinges. Any help would be appreciated.

Those are called "Soss" hinges. They're still made today, but they usually don't have the square ends on the mounting flanges.

Thanks Jerry-

Yes, I know of Soss but always thought of them as a door hardware manufacturer. Wasn't sure that all hinges of this design or type were all called "soss" as in comparison to scissor, spline, etc (or whatever).

I do see that there is one somewhat close in size...but with the rounded corners as you stated. Thanks Again.

Any originals out there by chance?
