Hello everybody ! Has anyone ever seen something like this? Perhaps there are some pictures? I know that one of the last copies was sold from the 1904 Exhibition to America. The company soon crashed and no longer released phonographs. Trademark Rebikoff and Ko

Hello Maestro,

Since you sent me a copy of the framed advertisement above I have often thought about this unusual machine and hoped you would post it here. I'm pleased you have. You have posted some great images in the past especially on the European Gramophone Stands thread that I enjoyed.

I would imagine the machine itself is as rare as hens teeth. I wonder if any have survived but you never know what some people have hidden away. The best way to flush them out is to find the only 'known' example, that always seems to flush others out!

from magazin "Gramophone and phonograph" for May 1904

♦ T -in V.I.Rebikov and Co. was honored to present to His Majesty the Emperor and gramophone records of its products, for which he was blessed with provide the highest gratitude.

♦ At the London Exhibition in the Crystal Palace About CMV Gramophone in Russia was drawn up notarial protocol insists on changing the name of the device other factories "Gramophone" as specified name them patented in all countries of the world, with the exception of Russia, where the name of the privilege is not granted . T in V.I.Rebikov and Co., to expose their products there as well and the phone izveschonnoe (message) about his London representative, was forced, due to the great success of manufactured goods from the London public, rename your device, giving it the name "naturofon" which, by the way, is purchased from the exhibition by a rich American, for 400 rubles. The name "naturofon" is now assigned to the newly released udeshevlonnomu (less expensive) machine (35 rub), very staid in design and elegant form.

I have more info, but i hope to meet live machine at my short life

Those are extremely interesting phonographs... The one in the black and white ad looks like a Russian Domra with a horn and crane attached. That horn would be a needle in a haystack type of find - very unusual.

Merry Christmas!
And I still have an extra holiday - exactly 1 month ago my personal site Maestro Gramophone https://grammophon.biz.ua started working. I invite everyone to get acquainted with Russian, Polish, Ukrainian talking machines, participate in forums, just talk. Simple registration will allow everyone to watch and download catalogs and other printed materials. And also once a week to receive by e-mail a brief announcement of the latest blogs with links.

Now about Rebikov. An article on the activities of this unique inventor is here https://grammophon.biz.ua/3691/3691-25/
In turn, I have personally been working on a project for the full and accurate reconstruction of one of the most beautiful "Naturophone" for 3 years now. And next year we can hear him.
This is the Photo of the only existing gramophone I publish for the first time in general

Rather, it resembles a mandolin, an elongated body and the number of strings. However, my analysis shows that it is impossible to integrate an original motor, weighing up to 5 kg, cast from cast iron into really existing samples of musical instruments. It is just a stylization, inlaied with veneer. All Mr. Rebikov’s motors have the same design

Merry Christmas!

Good heavens! You have managed to find the case of one of these wonderful machines! It looks just like the illustration with the Art Nouveau design.

I hope you get help in completing it and I shall enjoy looking at your website.
