Hi,
I have come across 2 odd Victor reproducers. I am wondering if anyone can help identify these. Please see the pictures below.
Thanks, Todd

Re: Two odd Victor Reproducers
I assume the lever pushes the needle clamp aside, the vertical spring then holds the needle hole open, and the insertion of the needle pushes that spring up and out of the way, releasing horizontal clamp to hold the needle.
I like this needle attachment. Very cool!
I did a quick search, but did not find it yet.
James.

The second reproducer is what I have heard called an "O" reproducer. I'm not sure what the official name is. It came on the Victor O machine and also on the very early metal grill Victrola IV.

Dan is right, the second reproducer is in fact an "O" reproducer, I have one on my early metal grill Victrola IV...

Todd, are they for sale? I'm interested in variations on the Exhibition and would love to buy the first one. Let me know via email or PM as I don't tend to check in here too often.
Thanks,

Thanks for your reply's. I have a Victor O with an Exhibition on it so that is good news. The Exhibition with the needle release I am going to add to my reproducer collection.
Thanks again, Todd

Re: Two odd Victor Reproducers
I believe Exhibition Juniors were only offered as a long throat reproducer for a front mount Victor.Curt A wrote:"Isn't the second one a an Exhibition Junior?"

Re: Two odd Victor Reproducers
My friends, perhaps this is another model variation, as it is clearly labelled Exhibition Junior, but is the hmv version, not Victor:
Don't take care of the balance springs, this is a modification made as the original springs (same as the standard exhibition) were broken, so I made two new U wire springs as in the 2-spring EMG/Expert soundbox. Btw, they work fine! See the video, from which this photo comes...Inigo
