I have been unsuccessfully trying to replace the pads on my Edison machines that contact the governer plate to stop the machine and regulate the speed. I have tried to use scrap leather belting material and to find felt pads of some sort, someone on here may know what was originally used and have a modern replacement for it, Thank you, you guys are always a great help.

Contact Wyatt Markus, aka MicaMonster, here at the TMF. He will likely have a solution for replacing or rejuvenating those worn felt parts.
