I went to install the new feet on this Amberola V I am working on and was surprised to see that there are no holes on the base for the dowel on the feet. Did some of these not have feet? This is puzzling!

It sounds like you are attempting to install some kind of "bun" feet, or the like. Our Amb V does not have that, instead it has small rubber feet that cannot be seen. See the photos below. Cheers, Russie

I have two. The oak one has bun feet. The mahogany one has no feet. And never had any. Al Menashe

Yes, I had wrongly assumed it was missing some bun feet. It's mahogany and the serial number was 600 something. Oh, well!
This was very helpful information. I wish I had been smart enough to look at the bottom before having the feet made! LOL
