If you can find back issues of the old Amberola Graphic magazine published by Martin Bryan there was an excellent article about the Grand Opera cylinders written by Ron Dethlefson in the early 90's If you're interested I will dig it out. One of the interesting things to come out of his research was the quite high number of grand opera cylinders that were sold from the initial lists: far higher than Red Seal operatics in the same time period. They were selling in the thousands per month in 1906.

Thank for the reply. I had no luck locating that article from Amberola Graphic magazine, but I would love to read it. Anyway of scanning and posting it?
