Those are excellent documents- I love seeing period literature on machines that I own. It is a decent machine, definitely not as great sounding as the larger models I've heard only on Youtube. However, even with my decently restored pickup- I enjoy the sound of it very much. My only complaint is the tone control is either on, or off. I prefer a variable tone control. Was this standard on Electrolas or were other models equipped with a variable tone control? To answer your question, yes- I do put the magnet on steel to keep its charge. It's amazing how quickly they can lose their magnetism. Also, I do have the schematic but I appreciate your offer. I contacted Mr. Azzalina a couple months back due to the recommendation of a forum member. I never got a reply from either his e-mail or PM on the forum. I will try again though. As for the radio reception and antenna that was asked about, mine just has a four to five foot lead that appears original to the machine and it picks up remarkably well. I'm not well versed in antennas, or radios of this vintage (my others are all 40's and post war) but it surprised me how sensitive the reception was and I pull all the stations I listen to. Unfortunately in my area we just lost a really nice oldies AM station. Too bad nothing comes over the police band anymore- that would really be entertaining.

edit: Russie thank you for the diagram, I also have that downloaded on my computer but i think it's beneficial to post it here for other users. Thank you for your guidance.
