I remember working on the amplifier with the push-pull 50C5's. I'll have to ask my mom if she remembers it. They were married in May 1955. I have become old enough to get the "collect what you remember from your youth" mentality. But it clashes too much with my main collection.

I know what you mean Jeff. A flood of memories from my youth because of this phonograph which makes me want to re-live it a little through the collecting some of the music. I bought another 50's stereo phono at Stanton's in November for $5.00 with an additional speaker! It is an Admiral. Not quite as stylish as the RCA but in a faux Blonde oak cabinet typical for the period. Chuck restored the amp and is sending it back so when I get it, it will be interesting to hear how that one sounds in comparison.

I would like to find a nice Webcor Musicale Coronet and a Magnavox Concert Grand one day. Those have fond memories attached. The Webcor is quite similar to the RCA discussed here, but had this I think the Concert Grand would get me killed. I remember those from childhood. The big 1958 Telefunken we have in the "great room" has been with me forever.

I restored a Concert Grand a couple years ago, it is a beast!

Had the most problems getting the wireless remote control working correctly and rebuilding the tuning motor.
