Did Brunswick ever advertise cabinets by Berkey and Gay?

Post by marcapra »

I have a memory that Brunswick once advertised its cabinets as being made by the Berkey and Gay furniture company of Grand Rapids Michigan. I could have the make of phonograph wrong. Does anyone remember seeing Berkey and Gay as a maker of phonograph cabinets? I have a 1920s Berkey and Gay bed that I got in Michigan from Uncle Vanya. I just completed making the rails for this bed, which were missing.

After doing a little googling, I found that it was Cheney that used Berkey and Gay cabinets. Cheney was located in nearby Chicago. Thanks for the book on Cheney by R.J. Wakeman on the APS website!
