The reproducer on the left would make a good start for a Stroh violin, like I made 5 years ago. I started with a reproducer and then added to it until it was finished, the body was made from mahogany scavenged from a trashed Edison upright machine and a broken German violin from eBay...

I look for the design of the front... it has to be attractive, since it is a noticeable part.
