In Middletown, DE. Price is "negotiable".

If I were closer, I'd negotiate!

Always wondered what the metal horns on these sound like...

They sound great.

This one has been stripped of its colorful decoration, but I have to admit...it doesn’t look bad at all like that.

I'll admit, I would have preferred that it retain its colors too.

That can be remedied. What can't is that it's in DE and I am in OR. :(

besides the colors missing it seems to be missing all of the fancy highly ornate escutcheon plate behind the door knobs as well as the three fancy decorative pieces above the doors...

chances of finding any of them are very unlikely

Could this have been a special order from the factory? If not, somebody did a nice job later.

Personally, I like it better "plain".

Some previous restorer really wanted a school version of this like an 8-8. They even stripped the cross design on the grille! But I did see a stripped version of an 8-9 owned by Uncle Vanya that was finished even better than this one.

It may be the original owner was NOT of “foreign extraction” - and probably didn’t own a confectionary store either.
