WANTED: Volume control for Victor Electrola 9-55 - FOUND!
I know this is a long shot but I am looking for a volume control for my Victor Electrola 9-55. Below is a picture of what it looks like (photo kindly supplied by Victrola Monkey). Please get in touch by PM if you have one of these rare beasts that you would like to part with!

I am interested in all forms of audio media including: gramophones, phonographs, wire recorders, the tefifon, reel to reel tapes, radiograms and radios.

It's a fairly easy fix. Getting it apart and getting the old resistor coil out is the hardest part.
I finally fixed the one in my 9-25 which had two volume levels for years, loud and off.
If you want to rebuild it let me know and I'll explain how to do it.

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the volume control is missing on my machine (lost by a previous owner of the machine who took the 9-55 apart and sold it to me all in bits) So I am looking for the whole part. I know it is a long shot but I thought I would ask here first particularly as there has been lots of discussions in the recent past about the restoration of these wonderful machines.
