WANTED: Amberola 30 speed adjusting shaft

Post by Phono-Phan »

I am working on an Amberola 30. It is a family heirloom and they want to have their grandmother hear it again. The speed control shaft is broken. Does anyone have one available?
Thanks for any help.

These must be pretty scarce. I wasn't able to find an original one so I repaired the original one. I cut off the broken threaded portion, drilled, and tapped the hole for a 5-40 thread. I was able to thread in a brass machine screw, cut off the head, and lock tite it in. The machine works great and the customer is very happy to be able to play it again for their grandmother.

I also prefer repairing an original part than substituting. Kind of less entropy being wasted...!
