I found these two children's phonographs recently. One is a Carola and the other one is a FRAAD Jr. I have seen some Carolas before but never the FRAAD. The FRAAD is about 30" tall. Does anyone have information or ads for either one?

There is a little information in the Talking Machine World, 1916 and 1917. A short lived company.

Just as a clarification, the Carola - although pint-sized - was not sold as a children's phonograph. Period advertising for the Carola is aimed at adults.

Thanks Bob. I found this Carola at a local shop. The other one's I have seen are pretty beat up. This one is pretty nice so it had to come home.

I've never seen one of these Carolas. But I did find a portable with handle though I would not carry it by the handle. It is all metal and heavy. Neil
