For Sale: Reproduction 5" & 10" Berliners (New Titles) $50

Post by donniej »

These are currently en-route from John Levin (of CPS1) and are some of the most desirable of Berliners. The cost of materials to copy discs is quite high, so advance sales are offered to help offset the cost of silicone and polyurethane, enabling me to continue making these for the community. Copies of #26, #29 and the Mother will ship in approximately two weeks, the rest will be 4 - 6 weeks.

5” Berliner #26 "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" – possibly the most famous of all the 5-inchers. Recitation by Emile Berliner.

5” Berliner #29 "Jack And Jill" – one of the cleanest 5-inchers I’ve seen, also recited by Berliner

5” Berliner #33 "Simple Simon" – has a crossed groove that will be repaired.

10” Berliner #GC22918, Leonid Sobonov – A superb rare Russian Berliner; possibly a unique copy.

There is also an additional 7" Berliner mother in the package, #1882 "Murphy's Gramophone" sung by John Terrell. The previous one John loaned me was near-mint, this one is in lesser condition but still playable and equally rare.

John is also including several 1894 - 1896 Berliners, some of which are iconic and desirable titles. These will be available first to those who purchase any of the above and will be added to the catalog after they're copies. These 7" discs will be made of my shellac-like resin and sold for $20 each and will ship in 4 - 6 weeks.

Thank you.
