CORONA

Post by tictalk »

I've had Corona for 20 years now. The Latin meaning for Corona is crown. Notice there is a crown in the art glass.

I have seen a few of these and they really are a knock out. Especially with the stained glass elements which not all of them have. It's not a virus, it's a work of art.

38% of Americans say they wouldn’t buy Corona beer “under any circumstances.” Imagine how freaked out they would be with Music Boxes and Phonographs...

I'm pretty sure they didn't even relate the question to the coronavirus, it would be 38% regardless

There were also Corona soft drinks (probably not related to the American beer mentioned above) and, I seem to recall, Smith Corona typewriters. The word must have been used countless times as a trade-name, especially perhaps in Italian and Spanish where the Latin word corona has survived without change in the sense 'crown'. Who will ever use it again?

I wouldn't mind being infected by this type of Corona. It is a beauty.
