Can someone help me with this? I can’t read the title, as one word has faded.
Thank You, Paul

The DAHR database has two Victor records with this number. I suspect you are asking about the 8 inch record.
Flag of truce march - 8 inch black label

Serenade - 10 inch red seal

It’s too bad I can’t upload the record, because it is severely worn, and there is too much surface noise. Even after cleaning them.

I have a number of 8 inch records. I did upload one of them recently by Collins and Harlan, but it was terribly worn. The rest were so worn they just were not worth recording. I don't know if that means they were played to death in general or if there was an issue with the materials on those records. I suspect the front mount machines they would have originally been played on gouged the grooves with many plays.

Hmm! Hadn’t thought about that? Well, i can find the recording on 10 inch records, so it’s not a total loss.

I think you hit with the front mount machines. I have a Columbia AH, Columbia's answer to the Victor Monarch, and that thing is a real record grinder.melvind wrote:I have a number of 8 inch records.
