SOLD: Language Phone (Columbia Q) $225

I am offering a real nice Language Phone for sale. It is missing the ear phone piece or horn whichever it came with. It appears to have an older reproduction reproducer that sounds great. It also has a reproduction winding key. I just recently got this and only dusted it off and added the key. I oiled everything I could but didn't disassemble it. As a result it played only about half a record then as I exercised it several times it kept running longer but as of now you have to wind it tighter than I'm comfortable with to get it to play through a full record. So, rather than to say it only needs a thorough cleaning and lube, I am going to say it needs a new mainspring. I think Sitko gets about $12.50 for one but I don't have a spare on hand otherwise I would throw one in. It is very possible that by taking it apart and a good cleaning might get it running but I will not guarantee it. The lid has some alligatoring going on but the decal and condition of the lid are great. Shipping will be actual cost and payment by check or money order is preferred. PM for optional payment.
