What a singer Herman Jadlowker was. A really difficult aria because of all the control it requires sung very well on a nice clean 1912 acoustic Victor recording. This is one of my favorite Wagner opera arias. Not so bombastic as some of the stuff from the Ring and other operas, but powerful in its simplicity and very difficult to sing.
