Prison made Victors
I have 1 or 2, I think 16's that when I bought them the dealer said ----the motors and other parts, may have been made and or assembled in a NY State prison? Anyone ever hear of that?

Sounds like dealer embellishment....
. Victor had tight QC of their products and promoted that through their advertising with zeal.
Maybe the dealer was confused with State licence plates...

It would likely be more expensive to move parts from NJ to NY for assembly than to assemble them at the factory.. plausible but not likely true.. I would like to see some more evidence before believing it
