Type BE vs Type BF Graphophones
Will a BE mech fit correctly in a BF case, or is the BF case longer?

The BF has a 6" mandrel, where the BE has a normal 4" mandrel.
Question: Does your BE mechanism/topworks have a 2/4 minute conversion?

I wasn’t sure if they both used the same bed plate. It’s a straight 2-m model.Curt A wrote:The BF has a 6" mandrel, where the BE has a normal 4" mandrel.

John,
I have both the BE and BFT and they are two of my favorites. The Columbia serpentine cases are very attractive and both models play great... mine are both 2/4 minute conversions and it took forever to find the correct 2/4 minute parts, that's why I asked.

Re: Type BE vs Type BF Graphophones
BF is a stretched BE, with the long mandrel as previously mentioned and an additional spring barrel in the motor. The cabinetry is identical in style and all dimensions except widths. So they look awesome next to each other.
