The pillow has a Pathéphone (with wrong-sided crank). Interesting how Pathé images have a way of showing up where they don't really belong, or at least where one would not expect them. For instance take the ones in the photo below. Beniamino Gigli, as far as I know, never recorded a note for any vertical cut label, much less for Pathé, yet somehow the company putting on a play called "The Gigli Concert" chose an image of a Pathéphone for its promotional materials. Similarly, the Moses guide is strictly about lateral cut records, but the cover image Dover chose for its reprint shows Lucien Muratore and Lina Cavalieri recording to cylinder in what must have been a session for Pathé.
