These sides are McKinney's Cotton Pickers doing some moonlighting in the OKeh studios, if you didn't know. McKinney's was a Jean Goldkette band. In fact, after Tram, Bix and crew left Goldkette for Whiteman some of the McKinney's guys were brought in to augment Goldkette's orchestra in the recording studio. You can hear this distinctly on "My Blackbirds Are Bluebirds Now" and "Birmingham Bertha".

Actually I did know? Every time I post a video to my YouTube channel. I try to look for information on the artist, and post that in my description. Although, i have some records where i can’t find any info anywhere?
