I heard the Kingston Trio’s version got this song, first. Before the Carter families version.

I heard Flatt and Scruggs first. But I know the Carters' version well.

I actually heard the Four Preps' parody of the Kingston Trio's version (in the "More Money for You and Me" medley) before I heard any "real" version!
