If you own a Polyphone, or are a Polyphone aficionado, this is absolutely the day you've been waiting for.
For the first time we have a new Polyphone Cylinder!!! This cylinder was produced from an original Polyphone record
and created through the outstanding custom cylinder work at Vulcan Records.
While the content (song) of the record is wonderful, its the announcement that makes this cylinder truly special:
"Polyphone Record, Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever March Played by the Polyphone Orchestra"
So that answer is Yes!! You now can have a Polyphone record that you can display and actually play on your Polyphone phonograph.
I have a limited quantity of this cylinder to offer. If you have a Polyphone machine, you need this cylinder. It is an outstanding example!
The price each is $88 each, plus shipping and insurance (the mail is crazy right now!!!)

Will they play on a normal cylinder machine?

Absolutely. It's a copy of a normal brown wax cylinder, but it just happens to be one that was recorded and sold by the Polyphone company (Chicago Talking Machine Co.). Original records with the Polyphone announcement are insanely rare so this is a great way to have a copy that looks and sounds like the original, but is unbreakable. Since it's a great band record it should sound terrific on any early machine, but it's especially appropriate for Polyphone machines.Curt A wrote:Will they play on a normal cylinder machine?
