Large floral horn. What’s it off?

Post by woundup »

Found at a fleamarket about two years ago, this thing measures 67cm (26.5 inches) in diameter and has 14 panels. It is, unfortunately. Rather battered and, needless to say, I don’t have the rest of the machine or any information about it.

Does anyone on this forum have a clue? I imagine it must have been something quite impressive. Looking at pictures online, the largest size of horn of this pattern I’ve been able to find has 12 panels and is attached to a coin operated machine.

Regards
Alan

I was thinking it could conceivably be from one of these coin ops...In any event, it would be great to find a machine to put it on

Thanks oliver.

That would be my guess too. I see the horn in that picture only has 13 panels. I would love to see a picture of a 14 panel horn mounted on its correct machine.

Alan

Hi Alan,

You'll need a machine with at least the heft of a Victor 5 to put this horn on.

It's actually in pretty good condition and I really like the paint on it. Quite
a nice find IMO.

Regards,

Oliver
